Martin is a Fellow and Past President of the Royal Town Planning Institute, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries, and an Honorary Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Martin is an independent strategic regeneration, management and partnership advisor (YTP.)
