Martin Willey FRTPI, FCIS, Hon. CIH

Co-ordinator of the SWHI

Martin is a Fellow and Past President of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries, and an Honorary Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

An independent strategic regeneration, management and partnership advisor, Martin specialises in brokering mutually beneficial partnerships between and within the public and private sectors.

Martin works with ministers, senior civil servants, government agencies, local authorities, urban regeneration companies,private companies, utilities, and professional advisers to deliver those productive partnerships.

He has led such ventures as the London Thames Gateway Social Infrastructure Framework, the Western Development Partnership, and the English Cities Fund, and was Chief Planning Officer at Harrogate Borough Council and Director of Technical Services and Planning at Aylesbury Vale District Council. He was also managing Director of Beazer Projects which developed the Bridgewater Hall scheme in Manchester. He created the SWHI in 1995.
